Real-time transformation of global GNSS coordinates into the respective local reference system without control points.
ascos Trans offers correction data that are already adjusted to network distortions of the respective official local reference system or the user’s own reference system. ascos Trans provides real-time transformation of global GNSS-coordinates into user-specific coordinate systems without the need for control points. Furthermore, users save time because it is not necessary to make measurements on known points before carrying out the transformation.
Via mobile telephony or GPRS/internet the user dials into the ascos service by using an assigned phone number, and transmits the approximate position coordinates of his rover GNSS receiver in ETRS89 spatial reference system to the computation centre. From the approximate data ascos computes individual correction data, already transformed into the user’s local coordinate system. This is done by three-dimensional calculations transforming position (X, Y) as well as height (Z).
Coordinate transformations are carried out from the homogeneous GNSS coordinate system ETRS89/WGS84 into the official German coordinate systems DHDN/DHHN92, which are subject to network distortions. Even discontinuities between differing projections – common along state borders with inconsistent transitions – present no problem: Point topology, consistency, and homogeneity are preserved in calculated coordinates. Contrary to conventional methods, isolated applications do not occur.
