A new correction data service based on internet broadcasting technology offers real-time correction data in the range of +/- 1 m.
Using an innovative internet broadcasting technique, ascos NET provides real-time correction data for GPS and GLONASS all across Germany, accurate up to +/- 1 m.
Correction data are transmitted to the rover receiver using the RTCM-standard NTRIP (Networked Transport of RTCM via Internet Protocol). NTRIP’s functionality is comparable to that of many modern internet streaming services, including e.g. internet radio. ascos NET is accessed via input of an IP-Address at the rover’s user interface. As soon as the user has logged in by supplying his username and password he gets access to ascos NET correction data.
ascos NET completes the product line of ascos real-time application services, covering the range of accuracies from the sub-centimetre to the metre. While the precision real-time service ascos PED has been established for professional geodetic double-frequency receivers, ascos NET opens the market to low-cost single-frequency receivers. Please note that the potential for accuracy of modern single-frequency receivers can only be fully exploited with ascos NET, or the real-time service ascos ED.
